This Privacy Policy describes how AdviceSahi (operated by Argus Fintech Pvt. Ltd., "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information provided by advisors and clients who use the AdviceSahi platform. By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information in connection with the provision of our services:

• Advisor registration data: Name, email address, mobile number, city, IRDAI license number, and uploaded license documents.
• Client profile data: Name, contact details, age, income, and financial profile information entered by the advisor or provided by the client during onboarding.
• Insurance policy data: Policy numbers, insurer names, premium amounts, sum assured, policy terms, and related financial data extracted via Gmail integration, DigiLocker, document upload, or manual entry.
• Usage data: Log data, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and interaction patterns on the platform.
• Communication data: Email correspondence with our support team.

2. How We Use Your Information

Information collected is used solely for the following purposes:

• Verifying IRDAI advisor credentials and providing platform access
• Performing IRR calculations, HLV modelling, and coverage gap analysis on policy data
• Generating advisory reports on behalf of advisors
• Communicating with advisors regarding their account, applications, and platform updates
• Improving platform functionality and analytical accuracy
• Complying with applicable legal and regulatory obligations

We do not use your data for marketing purposes, and we do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or transfer personal information to external parties. Information may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Infrastructure and cloud service providers (Supabase, Hostinger) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements: When required to do so by law, court order, or regulatory authority, including IRDAI.
• Client-advisor relationship: Policy analysis data is shared between an advisor and the client they are directly serving, where both parties have consented.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• Encrypted data transmission using TLS/HTTPS protocols
• Database-level encryption for sensitive financial data
• Access controls and authentication requirements for all platform accounts
• Regular security reviews of our infrastructure and code

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Advisor account data is retained for the duration of the advisory relationship plus a period of seven years for regulatory compliance purposes.

6. Your Rights

Subject to applicable Indian data protection law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you
• The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• The right to request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations
• The right to withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis
• The right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain user sessions and platform functionality. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking technologies. Analytics data, where collected, is anonymised and used solely to improve platform performance.

8. Third-Party Integrations

The platform integrates with Gmail (via Google OAuth read-only access) and DigiLocker for policy import purposes. Gmail access is limited to read-only and is used exclusively to identify and extract insurance-related communications. DigiLocker access is used solely to retrieve insurance policy documents the client has authorised for sharing. Neither integration stores login credentials. Access tokens are handled securely and are revocable by the client at any time.
